Transmit DVI signals farther than conventional cables with the use of DVI extenders. DVI extenders by SmartAVI consist of a transmitter and receiver for extending DVI signals to up to 275ft over CAT5/5e/6 cables. With the introduction of technology, DVI signals can be extended even further to up to 400ft (120m) without shielded cabling. Installation is effortless as all SmartAVI extenders are plug and play systems.
DVX is the first series of DVI extenders developed by SmartAVI when digital video was in its infancy. Still going strong, this line of extenders can reach up to 225ft using CAT5e/6 STP cables. The series includes very innovative and practical solutions such as the RK-DVX200 which can extend up to 16 DVI signals from a single rack mountable unit, and the DVX-2P and -4P which extend KVM stations containing two or four monitors.
Next up in the DVI extender series is the KLX. This line extends DVI-KVM via LAN or through direct CAT5e/6 cable connections. When extending via LAN, additional extenders can be daisy-chained to reach thousands of feet.
